Lilac House is your new home away from home, in the exciting Hudson Valley. Created for comfort, privacy, and relaxation, it accommodates eight people, a couple of kids and dogs, and still feels spacious. This modernized Cape Cod farmhouse is a perfect year-round retreat near Saugerties & Woodstock. Our home is ideal for get-togethers, featuring a 4 season hot tub, chef's kitchen and fireplace. Kids and pets welcome. All organic gardens provide a bird sanctuary and pollinator paradise, and pick-your-own bouquets in season. Enjoy nature, comfort, and thoughtful design in a home made for making memories.

I had an amazing stay at Kathy and Lilac House — genuinely the best Airbnb experience I’ve had in a while. 5 stars well deserved. Kathy was amazingly responsive and helpful throughout the trip, and she went above and beyond with everything from the decor to the recommendations. Our family could not have had a more enjoyable stay at Lilac House. The home is every bit as warm, cozy and inviting as the photos show. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. We were in town for the horse show, and the location was perfect. We were lucky to be staying during beautiful weather and could enjoy the lovely garden and yard. Another highlight for us was sitting by the woodburning fireplace in the evening with a nice glass of wine. As other reviewers have mentioned, Kathy is an exceptional host. She checked in throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. There is little surprise this home is in the top 1% of all Airbnb homes. We absolutely recommend this little gem and will look forward to return

THIS IS WHAT AN AIRBNB SHOULD BE!!! This is like a place where someone actually *lives* and it is obvious in the space because everything you need is just there when you need it. Like, guys, I was making dinner and I realized the recipe called for fennel seeds and I looked in the little spice rack thing and **there were fennel seeds**. Can't overemphasize how much this spot is actually welcoming and functional as a space to inhabit for a short time. Kathy's love of the land and the ecosystem is totally obvious and it's equally obvious how much she wants everyone else to love it too. 1000% recommend.

Stayed with a pet
Lilac House has now become the standard that all future rentals will be held to! Kathy’s home is lovely! Each room was immaculate and made to make guests immediately feel welcome. Things like welcome gifts and socks for walking around the house, to treats for your furry companions, Kathy had it all. She’s wonderfully communicative, offering suggestions and flowers from her garden. It was a wonderful weekend. The only regret was that the weekend went too quickly. Do not hesitate do enjoy this gem!

Hi! My name is Kathy
I first saw Lilac House in November 2020, in the middle of the pandemic. There were no leaves, but the moment I got out of the car, I could tell that the huge shrubs around me were lilacs. I fell in love, and have been ever since. Yes, I come here often, my family and friends join me, and I love this place. I think it shows.
